Our Mission

The Woodbridge Farm mission: to raise future champions, one foal at a time. Each horse that visits the facility is treated with the utmost care and respect. Woodbridge Farm is very well represented at the race tracks and in the sales arena. We treat every client as royalty, and each horse as a champion.

Established in the Thoroughbred Race Horse Industry in 1969

about_woodbridge_farmWoodbridge Farm is owned and managed by Sue Greene who has been involved with Thoroughbred horses since 1969.

Sue is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Animal Science. A true “hands on” owner, she oversees every aspect of Woodbridge Farm’s operation from breeding, foaling, training and even the non-animal ones like tractor repairs. She serves on the Board of Directors of California Thoroughbred Breeders Association and is its current President. As one of only three women to ever hold this position, she works hard to uphold tough standards set by her peers.

Sue was also a former horse rider and competitor in the most difficult Equestrian Endurance Ride – the Tevis Cup with her horse Dommie.

Woodbridge Farm Success Aided by Hard-Working Staff

The caring staff at Woodbridge Farm diligently tends to all the daily 24-7 chores, rain or shine. Their duties include pen and stall cleaning, helping in the breeding shed and taking time to make sure each horse is healthy and happy. The foals are loved and nurtured providing a solid foundation to allow these young ones to grow into equine athletes and potential champions.

Horses Get Variety of Exercise and Rehab Methods

The Equi-Gym is overseen by trained staff who ensure that each horse is benefiting from a program unique tailored to its specific needs whether it is a lay-up or a sales horse. The farm also uses a variety of equine wellness strategies:

  • magnetic therapy
  • Chiropractic therapy
